We currently require Shaft Miners to join our Tanami - Shaft Sinking team on a 15:13 roster.  - FIFO from Darwin, Perth or Brisbane.Responsibilities below:-1. Installing ground supportUnderstanding ground conditionsOperating Rock Drills and Air LegsInstalling rock boltsUnderstanding geotechnical plans/ drawings2. Setting formworkHave full knowledge and skills in maintain a straight shaftDrop kerb ring and set to design profile.Attach hanging rods and adjust height to design. Installing screw jacks and scribe pins3. Pouring concrete lining Install stage hopper and flexible slickline.Control concrete discharge into hopper (blockages).Vibrate concrete fill as required to remove air pockets and ensure a smooth final finish4. We currently require Shaft Miners to join our Tanami - Shaft Sinking team on a 15:13 roster.  - FIFO from Darwin, Perth or Brisbane.

Responsibilities below:-

1. Installing ground support

  • Understanding ground conditions
  • Operating Rock Drills and Air Legs
  • Installing rock bolts
  • Understanding geotechnical plans/ drawings

2. Setting formwork

  • Have full knowledge and skills in maintain a straight shaft
  • Drop kerb ring and set to design profile.
  • Attach hanging rods and adjust height to design.
  • Installing screw jacks and scribe pins

3. Pouring concrete lining

  • Install stage hopper and flexible slickline.
  • Control concrete discharge into hopper (blockages).
  • Vibrate concrete fill as required to remove air pockets and ensure a smooth final finish

4. Installing shaft services

  • Install service wall brackets
  • Install anchor bolts
  • Ensure service pipes are firmly secure into place using the correct saddles

 Essential Tickets and Licences

  • C Class Drivers’ Licence
  • Working Safety at Heights
  • Current First Aid Certificate & CPR
  • High Risk Work Licence – DG (Dogging)
  • Dangerous Goods Security Card
  • National Police Clearance (within 6 months)
  • Experience operating IT loader, IT ticket highly regarded

Since 1996, Nick’s career to date has predominantly involved underground metalliferous mining.
His experience gained during this time has been from the ground up, having spent years working underground at the ‘coal face’ through to statutory and senior management positions on site and at corporate head offices. This has given Nick an in depth knowledge of all aspects associated with underground mining.

Finance Controller and Company Secretary

Tracey is a CPA qualified Accountant with 16 years’ experience working in various industries, including telecommunications, engineering and construction, professional services and the property sector. She started her career in Perth with Gascoine Group and VDM Engineering and Construction, before moving to London to work for City of London Telecom. Tracey joined RUC in 2014 and manages the day-to-day finance function, supporting internal and external business stakeholders, Project Managers and The Board of Directors.
