Description 

RUC Mining are seeking an experienced Shaft Manager for a 2 weeks on and 2 weeks off FIFO roster to join our passionate team of highly skilled people.

DUTIES:

Reporting to the Project Manager, your key accountabilities will include:

• Overall management of key underground infrastructure construction e.g. Mine Access Drifts and Ventilation Shaft.

• Detailed mine design and operational strategy planning and readiness.

• Mine planning, scheduling and sequencing.

• Systems and personnel operational readiness.

• Delivery of the 3-5 year Mine Operating Plan and budget.

• Overall management of the of weekly operating plan.

• Statutory Role of Mining Engineering Manager.

REQUIREMENTS:

• A tertiary engineering qualification.

• This position requires a can-do attitude and hands-on approach.

• Experience in Team Leadership & Management required.

• The successful candidate must be prepared to make decisions, challenge the norm and contribute effectively in a lean team environment.

• Recent experience in underground mining will be highly regarded.

• Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.

• Detailed knowledge of project controls and management.

• Financial acumen.
