Description
RUC Mining are seeking an experienced Master Sinker for a 2 weeks on and 2 weeks off FIFO roster to join our passionate team of highly skilled people.

DUTIES:
Reporting to the Shaft Manager, your key accountabilities will include:
-
Full responsibility for the nature/quality and quantity of outcomes processes and/or teams within own area of responsibility.

Use informed judgement to evaluate alternatives to goal achievements.
-
Participate in site surveys to establish accessibility, availability of services, plant equipment and materials, safety concerns and labour requirements.

Manage site establishment processes and the onboarding of resources as per planning schedules.
-
Initiate pre-sink processes and manage the onboarding of subcontractors.
-
Liaise with project planner to confirm explosives storage requirements and manage implementation accordingly in line with agreed RUC standards, policies and procedures.

Manage water control in line with agreed RUC standards, policies and procedures.
-
Manage disposal of blasted material in line with agreed RUC standards, policies and procedures.
-
Manage end-to-end shaft sinking project in line with contractual expectations.
-
Enforce and monitor all risk assessment processes and liaise with Safety department daily to ensure a safe project.

Attend ongoing project meetings to plan and monitor project progress and resolve issues.

Adhere to and manage project budget in consultation with Contracts Manager.

ork with and support the other senior project personnel in the successful delivery of the project.
REQUIREMENTS:
-
End-to-end hands-on shaft sinking experience of one or more shaft sinking disciplines
-
7+ years’shaft sinking and engineering experience
-
Current First Aid Certificate
-
Manual Drivers Licence
-
Sound understanding of technical drawings
-
Team leader supervising multi-disciplinary team in the production of design work
-
Sound understanding of disciplines and safety protocols for shaft sinking
-
Advanced explosives management skills
-
Sound interpersonal and communications skills
-
Commercially minded
-
Analytical and attentive to detail
