Health and Safety Advisor

RUC Mining are seeking an experienced Safety Advisor with underground mining experience working  a 4 days on and 3 days off  DIDO roster. The Edna May Gold Mine that is located close to the town of Westonia.

Reporting to the HSE Manager, your key accountabilities will include:

  • Conduct site audits and compile reports as directed by the HSE Area Manager and the RUC Mining audit schedule

  • Facilitate inductions

  • Undertake reviews of Company training programmes, procedures and policies as required ensuring continuous improvement

  • Co-ordinate the development of the HSE management system documentation and monitor the performance of the sites safety procedures

  • Participate in risk assessments and JSA's for projects as required

  • Implement and maintain effective record keeping and document control procedures

  • Undertake accident and incident investigations as required, ensure that all accidents and incidents are reported and recorded in a timely manner.


  • Certificate IV in OH&S

  • Certificate IV in Training & Assessment will be an advantage

  • Underground Mining experience

  • C Class Driver's License

  • Working Safely at Heights

  • Applied First Aid Certificate

  • Microsoft Office proficiency

  • Good understanding of Mining legislation and Workplace Health and Safety

  • Experience in investigation process and analysis

  • Have a thorough understanding of ISO accreditation and system
