Edna May Gold Mine

Ramelius acquired the Edna May Gold Mine on 1st October 2017 from Evolution Mining Ltd, as an operating open pit gold operation which was mined historically and by ACM Gold in the late 1980’s. The deposit has recorded production of over 1 million ounces, with over 500,000 ounces produced since 2011 under Evolution ownership. Annual production since 2011 has ranged from 66koz to 99koz. Scope of Works
  • Full underground services of Edna May Gold Mine including all decline and lateral development
  • Production including long hole open stoping, blasting, bogging and backfilling of stopes with CRF
  • Airleg work including escapeways and slots into Edna May Gold Mine
  • Development of Edna May Gold Mine’s additional portal to breakthrough into existing decline development
  • Dewatering strategies to control and manage large volumes of water underground, including installation of the emergency pumping system to manage up to 90L/s
  • Development and construction of the new Primary Exhaust system
  • Shotcrete and construction of ventilation walls in house with InCycle Shotcrete
  • Edna May Gold Mine is a completely digital mine
  • Edna May has a peak work force of 45 personnel
  • Predominately new equipment fleet including new Sandvik Jumbo DD421, CAT 2900, CAT 1700K. Longhole drilling DL421

Nick Maguire

Manager Mechanised Mining and Raise Boring

Since 1996, Nick’s career to date has predominantly involved underground metalliferous mining.
His experience gained during this time has been from the ground up, having spent years working underground at the ‘coal face’ through to statutory and senior management positions on site and at corporate head offices. This has given Nick an in depth knowledge of all aspects associated with underground mining.

Chief Financial Officer & Company Secretary

Tracey is a CPA qualified Accountant with over 22 years’ experience, 9 of which have been with RUC Mining Contractors as Financial Controller.  Prior to her tenure with RUC Mining, she worked in various industries including engineering and construction, property and telecommunications across Perth, Melbourne and London.  Tracey leads the Finance, Procurement, and supply chain functions, supporting internal and external stakeholders, while also managing company secretarial obligations for RUC Mining and its subsidiaries.
