Roberts Union Corporation (RUC) originally 50% Murray and Roberts 50% Union Corp was initially known as General Mining Contractors and sank the Mt Lyall shaft in Tasmania in 1976 – the very first RUC project. In 2003 RUC was taken over as 100% Murray and Roberts.
Since its beginnings as a raise drill specialist, RUC has gone on to partner with some of the biggest names in the mining industry across a full range of underground development and production requirements. With its extensive fleet of modern equipment and a highly experienced and qualified team of mining professionals, the company has gained a reputation for successfully tackling some of the most complex and challenging works.
GCR Mongolia is a registered Mongolian company which combines expertise and experience of three accomplished partners each with compatible but diverse skill sets to provide clients with a complete solution to construction, infrastructure and mining development projects throughout the region. With the combined skills and strengths of Gobi Infrastructure Partners LLC (GIP), Clough Projects International Pty Ltd (Clough) and RUC, Currently completing the diverse multidisciplinary brownfields scope at Oyu Tolgoi; one of the world’s largest new copper-gold mines, GCR Mongolia offers a level of project delivery which is unmatched in the market.
In October 2011 RUC acquired the specialist underground shotcrete service company InCycle Shotcrete (ICS). InCycle Shotcrete will continue to operate as a standalone entity but enabling RUC to offer this service in conjunction with our existing operations.
In addition to the above RUC partners with InSig Technologies, a Company that specialises in Internet of Things (IoT) OT and IT solutions. InSig Technologies covers the full scope of intelligent solutions from strategy to reality including consulting and advisory services, IoT platform services, big data and analytics and other technical services. InSig Technologies is an excellent fit for RUC and already RUC have gained substantially from having the in-house expertise.

Since 1996, Nick’s career to date has predominantly involved underground metalliferous mining.
His experience gained during this time has been from the ground up, having spent years working underground at the ‘coal face’ through to statutory and senior management positions on site and at corporate head offices. This has given Nick an in depth knowledge of all aspects associated with underground mining.

Finance Controller and Company Secretary

Tracey is a CPA qualified Accountant with 16 years’ experience working in various industries, including telecommunications, engineering and construction, professional services and the property sector. She started her career in Perth with Gascoine Group and VDM Engineering and Construction, before moving to London to work for City of London Telecom. Tracey joined RUC in 2014 and manages the day-to-day finance function, supporting internal and external business stakeholders, Project Managers and The Board of Directors.
