Roller Cutter Capability Statement

The joint venture between Byrncut Mining Pty Ltd and RUC (Australia) Pty Ltd was formed in mid 1994 and terminated in December 2003, to provide the full range of vertical development options to the mining and construction industries in Australia. RUC Cementation Mining Contractors a subsidiary company of Murray and Roberts International have acquired Byrnecut Mining's half interest in the joint venture company continuing RUC's impressive vertical development experience.

RUC Cementation has available an International combined fleet of forty six raise drill machines varying in size from the 61R 6ft machine to the HG330 SP machine spread over four continents. Currently owned and operated in Australia are;

  • 2 x Robbins 61R Raise Drill's (Low profile) inc. 240m of Drill Pipe

RUC Cementation has the equipment and the people you need for any vertical development projects with a high regard for safety and environmental issues.  

 

In addition to this fleet of Raiseborer's, RUC Cementation also provides conventional shaft sinking equipment including large and small headframes, electro hydraulic winders and hoists, four boom sinking jumbos, cactus grabs, etc.

Mechanical shaft sinking equipment includes raisedrill directional drilling equipment and the capacity and experience of backreaming 6 meter diameter shafts. RUC Cementation Mining Contractors also has access to a vertical shaft boring machine capable of sinking shafts from 6 metre diameter to 8.5 metre diameter.
